It would be nice to be able to dispatch conversations panels to several tabs. Especially on small display device (not only smartphones but also netbooks), talking with many people at the same time (not using a group but individually) will soon fill all the displayable area. I would prefer to switch between tabs instead of having to scroll down the page or resizing the panels soo small that I could just see 2 or 3 lines. New tabs could be created for example with right click on the contact and "Open in a new tab". New tabs could be named "Discussions 2", "Discussions 3"... or named after the contact when one tab displays only one discussion. The "Contacts" panel on the left should be collapsed by default for the new tabs. Tabs naming could be dynamically updated when the user close one tab... but that's not really needed I guess. More important, if you allow tab naming after a contact, is that the tab is renamed when the number of discussions it contains fall to 0 ("Discussions X", 1 (contact name) or more then 1 ("Discussions X").
